marketplace. Tire manufacturing, long the staple industry of the area, began relocating to around the world to lower labor costs. This

Of the thousands who lost there jobs, many wanted to stay in the area and felt unsafe looking for another corporation for which to
work - foreshadowing a trend that continues today. Many of these entrepreneurs decided to strike out on their own and bought or
